Gundog Training Scents.
Pete Rickard gundog training scents in liquid form are an effective means of teaching your dog to recognize the various species which will be encountered in the field...and a few rows of the training scent squirted onto a dummy will be adequate.
Dummies impregnated with training scent can then be used for blind retrieves; or for initial training, to mark out a drag line to follow.
Our range of dog training scents includes duck, fox, grouse, pheasant and rabbit scents - and they are supplied in a handy small plastic bottle containing 35ml.

I ordered both pheasant and partridge scent for my young gundog to help with his hunting drive due to a lack of game. To test the product I put two drops on a tissue and hid it in low bushes up wind and out of sight of the dog and then sent him out. As soon as he got the scent he found it. Now use it on dummies which has really improved his retrieving. Still early days but so far I'm impressed. I'm not sure how close to a pheasant this is but it appears to have flicked the hunting switch on.
